Peiyun Chu, M.D.

Neurologist Long Island | Dr. Peiyun Chu, M.D.| QueensDr. Peiyun Chu is a highly skilled and experienced neurologist who has been a valuable addition to Neurological Specialties of Long Island, PLLC since 2005, providing patients with an exceptional quality of care. She is board-certified in Neurology with additional qualifications in Clinical Neurophysiology.

Dr. Chu first completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering at Rutgers University before graduating with her medical degree from the UMDNJ Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. Her postgraduate training included a general internship at New York Hospital at Queens and a residency in Neurology at St. Vincent Medical Center, where she served as Chief Resident during her final year. Dedicated to advancing her knowledge, Dr. Chu also completed a fellowship in Neurophysiology at the University of Buffalo.

In addition to her training and practice tenure, Dr. Chu has also donated her time to various volunteer programs, including as a Child Life volunteer at Robert Wood Johnson Hospital and providing Chinese medical translations at St. Vincent Medical Center. She has participated in relevant research studies as well. Dr. Chu is fluent in English and Chinese.

Ian Abraham G. Stein, M.D.

Stein is an Attending Physician at Neurological Specialties of Long Island, PLLC and serves on the staff of North Shore-LIJ Manhasset, Long Island Jewish and Winthrop Hospital. Since 2006, he has provided our neurological patients with comprehensive inpatient and outpatient care.

Dr. Stein graduated Summa Cum Laude with his Bachelor's degree from Yeshiva University, followed by his medical degree from SUNY Downstate Medical School. After graduating, Dr. Stein completed an internship at Staten Island University Hospital and residency training in Neurology at SUNY Downstate Medical Center.

In order to further advance his training, Dr. Stein also completed a fellowship in Clinical Neurophysiology at the SUNY Downstate Medical Center, where he completed rotations in EMG/NVC, EEG, EMU Monitoring, Sleep Lab and Evoked Potentials, among others. He developed special interest in complex epilepsy cases, neuromuscular disorders and neuropathy. He has also been involved in research and has published articles on neuropathies. He has particular interest in the diagnosis and management of painful neuropathies.

Throughout his practice experience, Dr. Stein has received numerous awards for his dedicated care, including recognition as the Best Neurologist on Long Island by the Long Island Press, recipient of the On-Time Physician Award, Compassionate Physician Award and Patients Choice Award from Vitals.com on multiple occasions. He is also a member of several professional organizations, including:

John D. Ardeljan, D.O.

Neurologist Long Island | Dr. John D. Ardeljan, D.O. | QueensDr. John Dr. Ardeljan is a licensed neurologist and one of the newest members of our team, providing comprehensive neurological care to patients at our Great Neck, New York office.

Dr. Ardeljan graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor's degree in Classics from New York University, before completing his Doctor of Osteopathy degree at New York College of Osteopathic Medicine, where he was a member of the Psi Sigma Alpha osteopathic honor society.

Upon completion of his degree, Dr. Ardeljan began an internship in Preliminary Medicine at New York Hospital Queens, followed by a residency in Neurology at North Shore-LIJ Health System, serving as Chief Resident during his final year. He joins our staff at Neurological Specialties of Long Island, PLLC after completion of his training.
